The website 'www.lawmaster.info' is operating and falsely claiming to be a law firm.
What is the scam?
The SRA has been informed that a website is operating and claiming to be a law firm. The website address is www.lawmaster.info.
The bogus website provides the telephone number '+44 7520 656 311'. It also provides the following addresses:
- 40 Bank Street, London, E14 5NR
- Rembrandtlaan 54, 7545ZL, Enschede, The Netherlands
The website 'www.lawmaster.info' further provides the names of several individuals who are claimed to be 'attorneys'. The individuals listed on the website as 'attorneys' are:
- Steward James
- James Thomas Anderson
- David Andrews
- Sophie Evans-Farrell
- Anthony Ward
- Lisa Miller
The SRA does not authorise or regulate a firm of solicitors called 'Law Master'.
The SRA also does not authorise or regulate a solicitor called 'Steward James'.
It is not believed that the individuals listed have any connection with www.lawmaster.info.
Any business or transactions through the website address 'www.lawmaster.info', telephone numbers or addresses described above is not undertaken by a firm or individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
Is there a genuine firm or person?
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Sophie Farrell (SRA number 527241) who has confirmed that she has no connection to the details referred to in the above alert.
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called James Thomas Anderson (SRA number 26591) who has confirmed that he has no connection to the details referred to in the above alert.
The SRA authorises and regulates a genuine solicitor called Anthony John Ward (SRA number 141644) who has confirmed that he has no connection to the details referred to in the above alert.
The SRA also authorises and regulates a number of solicitors called David Andrews who have confirmed that they have no connection to the details referred to in the above alert.
The SRA also authorises and regulates a number of solicitors called Lisa Miller who have confirmed that they have no connection to the details referred to in the above alert.
What should I do?
